What is the $297 site inspection fee?
To begin the process, we require a standard $297 site inspection fee. We then credit this amount in full on your first Pi Energy bill, so it is effectively refunded once you start with Pi Energy.
Are there any hidden costs or unexpected expenses?
Pi Energy charges a flat energy rate from $0.26/kWh for the energy you use under your agreement. In some cases, your property may need specific electrical or structural upgrades (such as a new meter board) to safely support the system. If required, the homeowner is responsible for arranging and paying for these upgrades before we can proceed with installation. We will clearly explain any such requirements before you decide to go ahead.
What happens if the main power grid goes down?
Your system includes a battery that can provide backup power during many grid outages. If the grid fails, your home can continue to receive power from the battery, helping keep your lights on, food secure, and devices charged, depending on usage and battery capacity.
Who takes care of the system maintenance?
